The MAB - FAAP is part of a foundation that hosts cultural events and important exhibitions in São Paulo. Their private collection of movie posters is managed by the head of the audiovisual course of the foundation and was exhibited for the first time to the general public. To increase the interest of the visitors, the curators asked for a special scenography project that would reproduce the cinematic aura of downtown São Paulo in the years of 1930/40.
We were responsible to help the curators select the pieces to be exhibited, design a system to hold the artworks without damaging them and personally help with the assembly. To recreate the cinema, it was necessary to do a photographic survey of the former cinema, to be able to develop the technical drawings and models.
