The Supple Pavilion is a dynamic interactive pleating fabric structure, conceptualized during the “AA High-Low - São Paulo Visiting School” in 2011, at the International Festival of Electronic Language – FILE, under the design brief of Robert Stuart-Smith. The project was chosen to be further developed through a series of workshops with the focus on producing a 1:1 scale of an interactive and flexible pavilion structure, using associative modeling, Grasshopper, Processing, Arduino, recursive scripting and digital 1:1 fabrication. The aim is to demonstrate from the experimentation and use of digital media the pursuit to establish new levels of use of hybrid processes, establishing modes of interaction among participating agents in the project, keeping with contemporary realities.
