The number of visitors to the Mayan Riviera is increasing by over 10% each year, while its residential population has almost doubled, making it one of the most important touristic regions in Latin America and an important center for business. Accommodating this continued growth in popularity while also providing an engaging design experience, preserving the natural ecological conditions, the development integrates a new residential community while also minimize the effect on local ecosystems. With 70,000 m2 of construction, the design has significantly reduced its environmental impact by limiting the combined footprint of all residential buildings to less than 7% of the site’s total area.
