Concept Design

Masterplan and Casino Hotel for the city of Sapporo. Concept design of a 500,000m2 integrated resort for a repeated client in the region of Hokkaido, comprising meeting, conference, expo, wellness and sport facilities, as well as a 2-3000-key 4 and 5 stars hotel and casino, with supporting program such as ground floor private villas, waterpark, customer centre, theatre, research museum, cultural centre, night club and a spa. We were responsible for the development of the product, working alongside the client to produce an attractive development for the region.

I had a key design role in this project, which I was invited to partici- pate as a direct result of the impact and important role I had in another project for the same client (Osaka).

I designed the majority of the support program, including the Ground Floor Private Villas, the Waterpark, the Customer Centre, the Cultural ‘block’ (Theatre, Research Museum and Cultural Centre), the Night Club and the Spa, while at the same time helped with the coordination of the entire masterplan design. I developed the unit mix and the interior design, distribution and façade for the private villas located on the top floors of the 5 Stars Hotel. I was also responsible for producing visual- izations and diagrams for the report.
